Inspired by a thread crochet doily design by Elizabeth Hiddleson, Volume 12. With permission, I have revised and rewritten the Pretty Baby instructions in modern crochet format, and also turned the round doily into a skirt. The pattern is accompanied by an article, the story of how I “met” Mrs. Hiddleson through her books.
