I’ve never made a purple cowl,
I never seemed to need one.
But I can tell you here and nowl.
I’m glad I finally knit one. (purl two.)

Many thanks to Dear Husband who helped with the poem, coming up with a new word to make the rhyme work and adding in a knitting cliché. A fast knit of chunky yarn and size 11 needles. James C. Brett Marble Chunky is very light and the colors look great. The example is purple, but you can make any color you’d like, of course! It uses just a bit of yarn, it’s a great way to use up chunky weight homespun. Purple Cowl is part of my diagonal lace mesh collection.

MATERIALS:
Waste yarn (use worsted weight held doubled)
James C. Brett Marble Chunky, 52 gram 1 7/8 ounces – approx 90 yards
Size 11 knitting needles
Size L 6mm crochet hook (or use knitting needles)

This is my 100th design!
