This is a basic beanie hat that I created with just 2.5 oz of worsted weight yarn when my son was a teenager and heavily into skateboarding. He and all of his skater friends wanted beanies so I came up with this. It measures 22 inches around (unstretched) and is very quick and easy to make. It can be worn as shown with a little rolled up edge, or pulled down over the ears, neck and forehead, like so many of the boys like to do these days. I whipped out several of them in one evening and handed them out to a group of happy teen aged boys (and you know how hard it is to make teen aged boys happy - lol).
