Mary, Mary, quite contrary, how does your garden grow? On these socks, a pretty tulip grows out of the grassy heel and blooms just above the ankle. Another blossom emerges on top of a long stem originating at the toe.
NOTES: This pattern is worked from the cuff down with twisted ribbing, stem and leaf lace, ribbed heel flap, and a grafted toe. Cast on sizes are snug to allow for negative ease. The lace pattern is charted as well as written; take your pick.
Originally this pattern was the March installment of the Hill Country Yarns 2008 Sock Club.
