The pattern includes full written instructions, a chart and a picture guide for the cabled edging.

This design takes elements from filet crochet to create a representation of a keyboard and mouse.
I have worked in offices for years and always found myself shivering in the summer when the air con is too high or in getting cold in the winter because the heating hasn’t kicked in. My mission for the QWERTY Wrap is to make sure that you keep warm AND make your colleagues jealous with this unique and versatile accessory.

Inspired by the very keyboard I type on, the QWERTY Wrap is wide enough to be worn round your shoulders as a shawl at you desk but still slim enough to wear as a scarf on your commute!

SKILL LEVEL
I have classed this wrap as advanced beginner / intermediate because although it uses simple stitches (dc and sc), the design is derived from fillet crochet and has multiple colour changes and a cable technique for the boarder.

STITCHES USED
Single crochet, foundation single crochet, double crochet and chaining.
Descriptions of the Foundation Single Crochet is given in the pattern along with a modification for those who prefer to work directly into a foundation chain has the beginning of a project instead.

MATERIALS
4mm hook
Yarn: Any DK yarn can be used, approximately 150g (540yds) in one colour and 50g (180yds) in the second colour.
For the pattern in the pictures I used 1 skein (50g 180yds) of Rico Baby Classic DK in shade 31 (Light Grey - 1 skein) and 3 skeins (150g, 540yds) in shade 32 (Dark Grey)
Yarn needle & scissors
