Worked in the round from the top edge down, this cowl features a simple eyelet “raindrops” lace pattern and an openwork “sunray” lace pattern. It is finished with a picot bind-off.

Originally written for the Suburban Stitcher’s 2016 Rainbow-along, this cowl could be knit with any fingering weight yarn of your choice. If choosing to substitute yarns, choose one with a nice drape for your chosen needle size. A silk blend would work nicely in this pattern.

Note that the lace patterns are presented in BOTH written and charted form.

Skills needed: Knitting in the round, knit/purl, basic increase/decrease techniques used in lace, i.e., YOs, SSK, K2tog.
