Surrounded by raindrops, floppy-eared dogs alternate with long-tailed cats on a reversible garter stitch lace scarf designed to honor shelter and rescue workers for all they do for these animals.

This lace is worked over 64 rows, but repeated elements make it easy to develop a rhythm. Directions include wide and narrow versions, as well as single species designs. An option also is given for a picot edging at the ends. Designed for fingering weight yarns, it also looks great in lace and Shetland/sport/DK weights.
