Raspberry Tart Hat
Raspberry Tart Hat is knit in the round from the bottom up with striking cable patterns. The crown shaping is integrated into the stitch pattern.
Gauge
20 sts and 28 rounds = 10x10 cm/4”x4” in Stockinette Stitch knit in the round with needle A after blocking
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Finished Measurements
51 cm / 20” circumference at widest point, 23.5 cm / 9¼” height. Comfortably fit average adult head sizes (20-24”)

Sample made with MadelineTosh Dk Twist (100% merino, 229 m/250 y per skein) in colourway Tart.
Needles
· needle A: 80 cm/32” circular needle or 40 cm/16” circular needle and double pointed needles (dpns) in size 4.0 mm/ US 6 (or size to obtain gauge)
· needle B: 80 cm/32” circular needle or 40 cm/16” circular needle and double pointed needles (dpns) in size 3.5 mm/ US 4 or two sizes smaller than needle A for the Ribbing
· needle C: 80 cm/32” circular needle or 40 cm/16” circular needle and double pointed needles (dpns) in size 3.0 mm/ US 2½ or two sizes smaller than needle B for the Tubular Cast On (optional)
40 cm/16” circular needles and dpns are optional if you prefer the Magic Loop Method for working small circumferences in the round.
