Raveneli is a type of seashell.

Raveneli is an elegant crescent shawl that features combination of the simple lace pattern in the body and a shell like striking lace border. The shawl is accentuated with a picot bind off.

  • the top edging is extra stretchy, so there is no puckering after blocking
  • the CO/set-up is done in such a way, so there is no visible hump that sometimes can be seen in the shawls of this shape

Finished Size
After blocking, sample shawl measures 236cm (93 inches) long along the top edge and 50cm (20 inches) deep.

Gauge
The gauge in the lace body pattern after blocking measures 16 sts x 26 rows in 10 cm x 10 cm. Adjust your needle size to suit your yarn and achieve the size and the look of the shawl of your choice.

Yarn
600 yards (549 meters) of Shinie 50/50 merino silk by Spark Story (Fingering / 4 ply, 50% Merino/ 50%silk, 438 yards /100g).
Sample shown in colorway OOAK 16.
