RAYmond Library Critter
Inspired by the Friends of the Lewisville Public Library’s Welcome, Baby! program, this charming stingray is a quick and satisfying project for advanced beginners. With a combination of linked treble crochet, single crochet, chains, and slip stitches, it works up in just about 60 minutes!
Choose worsted weight yarn for a 7” stingray or baby/sport weight for a 6” version—the softness depends on the yarn used. The pattern features a seam joining the top and bottom halves, adding structure while maintaining its adorable shape.
For a baby-safe and machine-washable option, use sewn-on eyes instead of plastic safety eyes. Perfect as a heartfelt gift or donation!
Special thanks to Friends of the Lewisville Public Library, Fiberlady, and Crochet Texas for supporting fiber arts and community creativity!
