Rays 'n Ruffles Top
This pattern is designed to be a comfy and breezy summer piece that will be a go-to wardrobe staple. It is made-to-measure, which means it is adaptable to your own size. The bralette is worked up by first creating the two cups and then attaching them together with the body. The ruffle detailing at the bottom can be made as large as you want, to cover more or less of your stomach area, as desired. With its picot stitch border and soft ruffle this bralette is inspired by a breezy summer’s day.
Yarn Requirements
To complete this project, you’ll need approximately 70 to 300 grams of category 2 yarn. The exact amount may vary depending on your chosen size and any adjustments you make. I recommend you use a natural and lightweight fiber, such as cotton or bamboo.
Ex. I made a Size M (bra size 75B) and used 100 grams of cotton yarn.
Yarn recommendation:
Hobbii Friends cotton 8/4
Paintbox Yarns Cotton 4-ply
Cotton Kings Cotton 8/4
Furthermore, you’ll need a crochet hook compatible with your chosen yarn (ex. 3.5mm), measuring tape and a needle.
Skill Level
This pattern is suitable for crocheters with intermediate skills or adventurous beginners, as it requires the crocheter to be able to measure and use some basic math. Stitches that are being used are: ch, ss, sc, hdc, dc, p (picot).
Important Notes
This pattern is “made to measure,” so you can adjust it to fit your body. The chain 1 or chain 2 at the end of each row does not count as a stitch, except at mesh part.
This pattern is for personal use only. You may not copy, redistribute, or sell this pattern in any form. However, you are welcome to sell finished products made using this pattern, provided you credit me (Blossom Hill Lane) as the designer.
