Envelope-style gift wrappers for wrapping rectangular items. These are great to make if you want to use up yarn scraps to make your gift presentation a little more special.

The inner part of the wrapper is worked in the round, in ribbing, to hold the gift snug. Stitches are then picked up at the top and the bottom and worked flat for the two flaps.

The wrapper is fastened with crochet chain ties. If you don’t crochet, these may be easily substituted for either ribbons or cord.

Sizes: small (medium, large).
Small: Holds a gift card of size 8.5 x 5.5 cm (3¾ x 2¼ inches).
Medium: Holds a 100g (3.5 oz) chocolate bar of size 16 cm x 8 cm (6¼ x 3¼ inches).
Large: Holds a paperback book of size 20 cm x 13 cm (7¾ x 5¼ inches).
Custom sizes: A “Wrapper Recipe” is also provided in the pattern so you can make custom-sized wrappers to fit other rectangular gifts.
