Where I live in Upstate New York, there is a twisting, turning back road I take to get to town. The twisted stitch cable that runs down the front and back of these socks remind me of that road that winds through the little town of Red Rock, and also of the stream that meanders through the woods on either side of the road.

These socks are knit from the top down. Pattern includes clear, concise directions and a chart for leg and instep pattern.

Skills needed:
Knitting in the round on 2 circular needles
Lace and twisted stitches
Using cable needle
Chart reading
