Perfect as outerwear during spring and fall… or for wearing indoors on a chilly day over leggings and cozy boots, the ReLuxe Wrap is a modern interpretation of the poncho. A revolving combination of cables, bobbles, and classic textural patterns creates a beautiful garment and an incredibly interesting knit. Worked in a sampler style, I wanted to create a project that would be engaging for the knitter and flattering for the wearer.

Adjusting the placement of the seam as you wear this wrap changes the look entirely. When the seam runs down the shoulder, the piece looks like an asymmetric wrap. With the seam in the back, the piece looks like a cape. When worn with the seam in the front, the ReLuxe Wrap looks like a cozy oversized poncho.

Construction Details
This wrap is made in one rectangular piece. After working the body, stitches are picked up along the bottom edge and a ribbed border is worked. The piece is then seamed together, stitches are picked up around the neck, and a ribbed collar is worked. There are 5 unique stitch pattern blocks that are each repeated twice in the wrap body. Pattern is written in words and charts - the knitter can choose according to preference.
