The Reptilia hat is a close-fitting beanie style hat knitted in the round using stranded techniques. The motifs feature snakes, tortoises, and crocodiles, perfect for the reptile lover in your life!

Small (19–20” head diameter) and Large (22–23” head diameter)

Approximately 100 yds of main color (MC) and 70 yds of contrasting color (CC) of an appropriate DK- or Sport-weight yarn
(Sample shown using 1 skein each of Malabrigo Dos, Indigo MC and Turquesa CC)
US 5/3 mm 16 inch (40cm) circular needle
US 6/4 mm 16 inch (40cm) circular needle (or size needed to obtain gauge)

Sizing Note
The two sizes of this hat are acheived by working the same pattern at different gauges. You can use DK or Sport weight yarn for the small hat, which will result in a thicker hat. Or, use fingering weight yarn for a lighter weight hat.
