Retro Christmas Star
Retro Christmas Star - The price of this crochet pattern includes a charitable donation to the NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children).
I had a really happy childhood in the 80’s and 90’s and at Christmas these shiny foil ceiling decorations always made appearance (and still do in my house). They make feel reminiscent for the simple excitement of Christmas and good times to come. However, I realise not everyone is as lucky as I was to have a childhood safe from abuse and neglect; and I want to do something about that. That’s why for every pattern of this star sold I will donate £1 to the NSPCC.
This Retro Christmas Star ornament can be made with 5 or 6 points. Use a 2.5mm crochet hook and approximately 6g of sock/4ply yarn to make a tree size decoration, or any size yarn and an appropriate hook will do for bigger versions. The largest star shown is made with chunky yarn and is suitable as a small ceiling decoration. This star is a great scrappy project for using up leftovers, make it in as many colours as you like. This pattern is written is US crochet terms, UK terms are provided for reference.
