Reversible Basketweave or Moss Stitch Crochet Pattern
Some time ago, while playing around with a hook and some yarn, trying to find a stitch for a crocheted basket, I came up with this stitch. This stitch is totally reversible, in rows and rounds.
This stitch is ideal for something that has to be thicker and firmer than usual and should not curl, e.g. a basket, a potholder, a rug, straps or handles for a bag… It was planned to resemble a basketweave, but it also reminds me of a crocheted moss stitch:-)
Pattern includes instructions for the stitch worked in the round and in rows and instructions for a potholder as an example.
Feel free to link this pattern. If you like to sell items made from my patterns, you may do it, but please honor me as the designer and treat this pattern as you would wish yours to be treated. So please do not sell this pattern. It was designed to be shared for free with people who love knitting and crocheting. Thanks!
