This scarf is inspired by the waves of the sea, and how the surface of the water moves and dances in the light. Even when laid flat it appears to have movement.

It is the sister to the Ripple Tide Shawl, the detached wave edges of the shawl, are now attached to form an interesting shaped edge. The stitch pattern follows the same form. The scarf is longer and slimmer than the shawl.

The main colour is worked in garter stitch with a small amount of short rows, and the other colours are worked in a 2 row stitch pattern repeated throughout the scarf.
The interesting shaped edge is achieved by casting on and off stitches.

The first sample of this is knit in natural, undyed colours.

The pattern uses 200g of 4ply ,
100g of a main colour,
4 x 25g of shaded colours, alternately a semi - solid or varigated yarn could be substituted.
