This lacy scarf / stole uses intarsia to accentuate its wavy lines and can be made in anything from lace weight to sport weight.

Knit in Jamieson & Smith Shetland 2 Ply Lace it makes a cozy and striking scarf. Made in Louet Euroflax Sport Weight it makes a comfortable summer stole.

The chart is easily memorized, leaving you to focus on the knitting. The intarsia is more like “fauxtarsia” because only one strand of main background color is used across the work.

Customize this pattern with your yarn choices: 2 colors, 3 colors, or more. Choose your background: solid, stripes, or a self-striping yarn.

3 color sample used 1 skein of Jamieson & Smith Shetland Supreme 2 ply lace weight in each of 3 colors: Black, Moorit, and White.

2 color sample used Louet Euroflax Sport Weight: 2 skeins of French Blue, 1 skein of Champagne.
