The River Run socks evoke the Wishkah (WISH-kah) River that wanders down from the Olympic Mountains to meet the Chehalis River at Grays Harbor, Washington. The cables that meander and cross back and forth are a visual depiction of the river’s journey through the forest, hills and valleys in its short, but fast journey to the harbor.

Filled with details and patterning, the River Run socks will keep you challenged until you are finished. Traveling stitches and small cables start near the toe and continue up the front of the leg to the ribbing. Cables start at the ankle, travel to the middle back of the leg.

The pattern is written for use of two circular needles, with guidance for using double pointed needles.
