I love retro and vintage and especially anything from the 1920s/flapper era. This reminds me of the bygone era’s bucket hats. It can be worn wth the brim four different ways - completely down to cover the eyes, one side up, both sides up, rolled completely up!

Using Loops & Threads Charisma bulky weight (#5) acylic yarn, it begins with short rows for the front and then short rows for the back. Complete instructions are given for “how to” work short rows. It is not difficult; really!!! The rest of the hat is knit-in-the-round and the yarn is then doubled for extra warmth on the cold winter days and nights.

I completed the look with 2 rounds of single crochet. Again, not difficult at all if you are a novice at crocet (and I am pretty lousy at crochet!)

I crocheted the hat band with the same single crochet stitches around the hat for added texture. There is nothing to say you can’t knit a hat band around if you prefer!

Next, I popped on a broche, and voila!
