Designed to flatter a variety of body types, Rockefeller uses carefully structured vertical ribbing to elongate the female figure. Constructed seamlessly in the round, this garment begins at the hem with twisted ribbing. Twisted rib continues along each side of the sweater, while smooth stockinette panels rise up the front and back to heighten the clean lines extending on either side. Carefully placed increases and decreases leading up to the bust line enhance the feminine silhouette, while the ribbing naturally accentuates the waist and hip shaping. The tank is split at the armholes where the front and back are worked flat, with neck shaping along the back for a comfortable fit. A three-needle bind-off at the shoulders adds structure and durability to the garment. Worked in a light or bright solid or semi-solid yarn to maximize the slimming effect, a lightweight wool or wool blend is recommended for this design. This sweater pairs well with jeans, capris, a skirt, or even shorts, ready for whatever a day in the city might bring.
