“Roll With It” is a seamless, modular pattern that plays with the natural tendencies of stockinette stitch to roll-- both forward at the top/bottom and backward at the sides.

There are three size/gauge options for a 70, 80, or 90 stitch (circumference) hat. Hat pictured is a 90 stitch hat in worsted weight (Malabrigo Rios).

Yardage estimate (140-180) is for large size (finest gauge) in light worsted weight yarn.

Some of the techniques used are:

  • Provisional cast on (Judy’s Magic CO recommended)
  • Grafting (Kitchener stitch)
  • Picking up stitches from the side of work (but if you’ve never done this before, it’s made quite easy in this pattern)
