The perfect way to show off a luxury yarn! Designed for Knit Picks Little Luxuries collection, the Rona Cowl is worked flat and features a delicate reverse rice stitch at the edges and a knotwork cable pattern in the center panel. The cowl is sewn together at the bottom edges, and three optional decorative buttons keep the crossover in place. The cowl can be slipped easily over the head. The luxuriously soft yarn and elegant design make this a truly exquisite garment.

This pattern includes three sizes: adult small (to fit 13” neck circumference), adult medium (16” neck circumference), and adult large (19” neck circumference).

The gauge is 22 stitches and 32 rows over 4” in Reverse Rice Stitch, blocked.

This pattern is recommended for intermediate knitters. You must be able to follow a complex cable chart and use various cable stitches for the center cable. However, there is no shaping, and the cowl construction is very simple.

The suggested yarn for the Rona Cowl is Knit Picks Capra, a beautiful cashmere/merino blend yarn with gorgeous drape. However, it will work well in any DK weight yarn, and even in worsted weight yarn, with a bit of added width to the cowl. For the version featured here, I used two balls of Knit Picks Capra DK (85% Merino Wool, 15% Cashmere; 123 yards/50g) in Magnolia Heather #27664.
