Rondeau is a quick and easy lace doily knitted in the round for experienced beginner to intermediate knitters, using basic stitches in a repetitive pattern. This project takes a tiny bit of time, and uses only a small amount of yarn or thread to knit. Because Rondeau is knitted in the round, double pointed needles must be used for the first part of the pattern. Both written instructions and a chart are included in this pattern.

NEW: There is a stop motion video of Rondeau showing all the stages of doily knitting, from cast on, to bind off, blocking, and even a nice cup of tea. Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=roUOP06HY20

Rondeau is also available on the Knit Picks website, where you can find it as part of A Trio of Knitted Doilies. Quadrille Lace Doily and Polonaise Small Lace Doily are included, and the set is priced at $2.99.

While you cannot make or sell copies of this pattern, you do have permission to sell your completed doilies.

If you have any questions, I’d be happy to help. Please send me a PM or join our group, Tinyknitters. Thanks!

Errata for the original version of the pattern (the new version is dated June 8, 2012): The written instructions for this pattern are a bit confusing when it comes to using a stitch marker. There is only one stitch marker used, and it is only slipped one time per round. If you have any questions, please send me a PM. Thanks!
