A fun cowl that knits up fast in super bulky weight yarn (though it can be knit with a lighter weight of yarn). I designed this with guys and gals in mind. You’ll need 160 yards of super bulky weight yarn with size 11 (8 mm) circular knitting needle. The cowl is knit from the top down starting with a few stitches to form a long point. When it is wide enough to fit around the neck, join in the round, knit in ribbing and finish by binding off or adding the triangle edging. Unblocked and unstretched size: 17.5” tail, 20” around at join and 30” around above the edging. Options are given for knitting this without the beginning point, with a turtleneck, or without the edging. It can be knit with any weight of yarn by changing the needle size to suit the yarn. Pattern notes are included to help with substituting and options. The three page pattern has only written instructions.
