As you probably know, pretty much all of my socks are done toe-up and over the years I have come up with my own favourite toe which I wanted to share with you.
The reason I came up with this toe is that I was never 100% happy with the toes from the patterns I used. The 2 things I found most annoying was:
1) the tip of the toe tends to be too pointy (whose feet look like that!?!)
2) the transition from the part where the increases have finished and where the foot starts (the straight bit) isn’t very smooth? most of the times you kind of get these ‘corners’…
The way I’ve done the increases also eliminates the ‘raglan’ style increase look which I’m not too fond of.
If you decide to try it out, I hope you will be as happy with the look and fit as I am.
This document is like a mini picture tutorial, however, if you prefer a chart or written instructions without all the pictures, you can find it here.
Happy knitting :-)
