Roya Hat is a larger knit beanie that accommodates many sizes with its tie.
Windy days may require extra cinching.

I used the lovely Corrie Worsted while I’m waiting for the Sonder Yarns to get their website up and running. In the hopes that they will have a light worsted or DK weight to use with this pattern.

And any DK weight yarn will work for this pattern. Something cozy perhaps.

This hat starts with a few rows of chevron lace leading into 1X1 rib. The final row of the rib accommodates eyelets made with yarn overs. The colourwork is easy to manage with no more than 3 stitch floats. No need to trap those floats and the inside is as pretty as the outside.

The pattern details are helped with photos to get the shaping of the crown to a perfect sun spot at the end.

A lovely hat to match my Chrys Mytts mitten pattern. A walk in the woods never looked so stylish.
