Make your own fairy tale come true with this beautiful riding cape, complete with romantic cabled edge and generous hood.

Supplementary Tension Info: Each cable repeat works out at 7cm/2.75in long x 9.5/3.75 in cm wide.

The word “Ruadh” is Irish for Red. It’s pronounced several different ways on the island of Ireland, but the best approxomation would be “ROO-ah”.

The pattern contains instructions on how to work the cabled knotwork, and a handy link to an online demonstration of crochet cabling.

It also includes guidance for those working the pattern up in worsted-weight. The same advice can be used to lengthen the cape into a full-length cloak, if you wish!
