Around the corner from La Bien Aimée in Paris is a street called Rue du Tage, named for the Tagus river running through Spain and Portugal. A few blocks away from the mouth of the Tagus in Lisbon sits Retrosaria Rosa Pomar. The yarn that sparked this design, La Bien Aimée Mondim, is made by Rosa Pomar from Portuguese wool, then dyed in Paris at La Bien Aimée. I couldn’t think of a better name to tie the two together.

Rue du Tage is knit in the round from end to end, so the scarf is doubly warm and the floats are hidden from view on the inside.

Yarn
3 colors of La Bien Aimée Mondim (100% Portuguese wool, 421 yds / 385 m per 100 g skein) in the following quantities:
yarn color A: approximately 340 yds / 310 m Smoke (1 skein)
yarn color B: approximately 385 yds / 352 m Hegelia (1 skein)
yarn color C: approximately 715 yds / 654 m Ash (2 skeins)
If substituting yarn, fingering weight is recommended.

Gauge
29 stitches and 31 rounds = 4” / 10 cm in stranded colorwork on larger needles
