Ruffle is the perfect accessory item for those that like to have options. Ruffle allows you to knit a shawl, cowl or long scarf all with one pattern.

Knit on size US11 needles, Ruffle is a fast moving scarf that will be completed in a short amount of time. If you want a more traditional shawl just keep going until you reach half the desired length.

Any type of yarn may be used to create this cowl. For lace weight yarn you will need to continue adding beyond 12 leaves to obtain the desired look.

Materials Needed:
Size 11 (8.0 mm) straight knitting needles
2 balls of Brown Sheep Company. Inc Lanaloft Worsted Weight 100% wool 160 yards
Darning Needle
Stitch markers

Abbreviations:
K—knit
P—purl
dbl dec-Slip first and second stitches together as if to knit. Knit 1 stitch. Pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch.
Yo—yarn over
K2tog –knit two stitches together as one stitch
Ssk— Slip one stitch as if to knit, Slip another stitch as if to knit. Insert left-hand needle into front of these 2 stitches and knit them together
M 2–Cast on 2 stitches
PM– place marker
RM - remove marker
