This sweater is named for one of my favorite fall vegetables: brassica oleracea v. sabellica, otherwise known as kale! In autumn I am either rounding up the last harvest in the garden, out eating apple cider doughnuts with my family, or catching the last bits of warmth before the snow flies. And, as the summer sun chills off, I need a sweater to keep me warm. Slightly cropped or longer, in short sleeves or long, this pullover is a simple, easy-to-wear shape. (I prefer it slightly short to wear with my many dresses and skirts, but it’s great long too, as you can see in the mustard version.) Sabellica’s top-down construction means you can play with length and try it on as you go.
