An entirely new version of the pullover with the same name, incorporating an allover background and patterns rearranged.
I was able to add some nice motifs after my trip to Norway last summer. For instance the Olav cross with axes and the Shield of Norway, with the lion, Olav’s ax and the crown. The story of Saint Olav/ King Olav II of Norway is on my blog:
http://norskneedlework.blogspot.com.
It all started with my Konge Tinn spoon!!
It is knit in the round with steeks, sewn and cut afterward.
This is not a difficult pattern as it is easy to find your place on the charts with the small motifs.
Across the back it says“ Heilag Olav og Hans Menn” in Norsk, or
Saint Olav and His Men.
I will try to make a Danish version sometime later in the summer. We
are moving and I won’t have a computer for awhile. I can still be reached at Ravelry or cindy@norskneedlework.com for questions.
As you can see this pattern was so fun to knit, I did it twice. I needed a version to keep for myself!
It is sized from small: 41.5” to Large: 53.5” The colors of Finull are the same as the pullover, but rearranged.
