I have to tell you a story about the evolution of this sweater. In 2004, Diana was selling her son Patrick’s car in front of the Mountain Colors dye studio. I was very tempted and made an offer. Diana and I dickered over the price a bit until she said, “I’ll include your choice of yarn in the trunk”, to which I replied “SOLD”, quite naturally! Such a deal no knitter could resist. This cardigan is the end result. The slip stitch pattern reminds me of ripples on water that catch the light and carry your eyes across the surface, blending the colors in playful and unusual ways! It’s a representation of the beautiful Salmon River country I live in, just over the hill south of Mountain Colors.
