- One who has no fixed habitation or residence; a wanderer
My family tends to venture far afield, but we come together when it counts. A few years ago, we reunited to celebrate my grandfather’s 90th birthday. These socks, with their wandering but interlocking cable, were designed for him.
The pattern is written in three sizes. They’re shown here in a thicker yarn at a gauge of 7.5 stitches per inch, which fits a foot or leg of 8.75, 10, 11.25 inches. But they also work in a thinner yarn at a gauge of 8.5 stitches per inch, which fits a foot or leg of 7.75, 8.75, 9.75 inches.
These are perfect for you if:
- You love dramatic cables
- You want a very tidy gusset and toe
They’re not for you if:
- You don’t like charts (the pattern uses charts)
- You hate swatching (you need to swatch to check your needle size)
