you could use any aran yarn, with a slightly smaller needle size to obtain a tighter tension which will make for a warmer mitten. I used leftover yarn from a sweater, unfortunately I omitted to weigh them to see how much yarn was used. Knitted from the cuff, uses ssk, k2tog, moss stitch and stocking stitch.

I haven’t tested this pattern out yet, please let me know of any mistakes.
