This fingering weight hat is light-weight & fun to knit. Use several colors of yarn—scraps, or odd-balls, or purposely purchased coordinating sets—to create a striped slouchy hat with small amounts of stranded knitting to help blend the colors into one another.

While I’ve written the instructions to have 6 different colors and stripes of equal widths, experimentation is highly encouraged!

The pattern is written to fit heads measuring 14-16 (16-18, 18-20, 20-22, 22-24)“ / 35.5-40.5 (40.5-45.5, 45.5-51, 51-56, 56-61) cm. It will require different colors of fingering weight yarn adding up to approximately 35, (40, 50, 55, 60, 75) g.

This pattern is also part of the ebook Scrappy Stripey Sock Yarn Accessories which contains instructions for the hat, mittens & the scarf.
