Scuttlebutt is a bulky weight, raglan sleeve, top-down sweater. The sweater is worked primarily in the round in stockinette stitch. Once separated for the sleeves a 2nd color is worked every few rows in a textured slipped stitch on the front only (using short rows to keep the same tension on back and omit texture discomfort on the back when sitting). Meant to be a boxy sweater, it splits at the bottom sides before the ribbing and back is longer than front. Sweater can be worn over a dress or with slacks. The fun part about this sweater is that it can be worked in 2 bold colors for obvious stripes or two similar colors to give a shaded look. Sweater can be worked in 2 color shifting yarns or 1 solid and 1 color shifting yarn. Pattern is sure to fit everyone’s style for a cozy, quick winter knit with an optional pixie-style hood.
