This shawl is worked from the center out, starting with dpns (double pointed needles) for the 6-petal flower. When there are sufficient stitches, switch to circular needles for the remainder of the shawl. The shape is between a half-circle and a cape. This gives you great shaping and the shawl sits effortlessly on your shoulders. The edging is worked sideways, picking up live shawl stitches as you go. The sample is worked in only 3 skeins of Tilli Tomas Voile de la Mer (70/30 silk/Seacell) laceweight yarn. (290 yds per 50 gms).
