Design:
This pretty triangle shawl features simple construction and easy to memorize lace. The bands of garter and eyelet striping break up the monotony and the long fringe adds a romantic feel.

Finished Measurements:
This is a generously sized shawl! Overall width is approximately 68” and length from cast on to bind off at center of shawl is approximately 35” (NOT including the fringe), blocked.

Skills required:

  • Knitting a Garter Tab (explained in pattern)

  • Knowledge of basic lace (yo, ssk, k2tog and sl2,k1,psso)

  • Blocking a shawl.

  • Attaching fringe.

Needles/Notions:

  • Size US #6 (4mm) Circular Needles, at least 40” long for working back and forth

Notions:

  • (1) Size H/8 (5mm) crochet hook, for attaching fringe

  • (4) Stitch Markers

  • Blocking mat and pins

Yarn:

Approximately 850 yards of DK weight yarn
Suggested yarn: Cascade Superwash Merino (pictured in “Violet Tulip”)
