The Sea Slab hat is inspired by the magnificent moss-covered granite slabs that rise from the ocean on the glorious arctic islands of Lofoten, Norway. The swirling pattern is made with a simple repeating slipped stitch pattern. The decreases are hidden, so the swirl continues unbroken to the crown of the hat.

Size: Adult S for single color; M for two color. To make a smaller or larger hat, it’s recommended that you choose needles and yarn that decrease or increase your gauge. Make sure you have a little extra yarn. The single color sample only weighed 50 g, but if there is any variation in your yarn or tension relative to mine, a single 50 g skein might not be enough.
