Seafoam Lace Scarf
by Evelyn A. Clark

Seafoam Lace Scarf
Rows of eyelet seafoam separate waves of Old Shale lace on this rectangular scarf. Knit on the diagonal, the lace slants like waves breaking on the shore. Beads, shells, or charms can be added to the scalloped ends like beachcombers’ treasures.
The lace is easily memorized; and it repeats over 12 stitches, so it is simple to create a narrower scarf or wider wrap. It looks great in both handpaints and solid colors in lace, fingering, Shetland/sport/DK, and worsted weight yarns. This design also can be knit in stripes to use up leftover yarns.
