This is a cowl that is fashionable and will lend warmth to the wearer. It has an attractive line of beads on each rib, it is shaped with a geometric progression to add a little structural detail to the bottom edge at four points. You will need 536 Size 6/0 glass beads, I used Miyuki #4514, and a size US 13/14 steel crochet hook. I used Madelinetosh “Tosh DK” in color Saffron. So yummy! It takes only one skein. The colors are fabulous together and the beads look like turquoise stones.

This will fit a large child through an adult. Leave off the beads (instructions are included for a plain version with no beads) and it can be used by the boys/men in your life!

It’s easy and can be made by a newish knitter also. It works up very fast without the beads.

Please note that the mannequin upon which this has been photographed, is small. This may or may not cover your shoulders depending on how wide your shoulders are, but will definitely cover your upper chest and back, keeping you cozy!
