Seine is part of the Mix & Match – Rivers collection. The other patterns in the collection are Elbe and Tiber. All these shawls can be knitted on their own, just as they are. But if you have the entire collection, you can also mix and match by combining the body and border sections from the other patterns in the collection.

With the 3 patterns of the Mix & Match – Rivers collection, you get 9 different shawls! All the shawls have a textured body and a simple lace border, and they are interchangeable. You can mix any of the 3 textured body sections with any of the 3 lace borders.

Seine
Understated simplicity at its best, Seine is a modern and light shawl that’s enjoyable to knit. This asymmetric triangle shawl, knitted on the bias, has two parts. The body is a combination of garter stitch and stockinette stripes, for textural interest. The focal point is the delicate quatrefoil eyelet pattern on the border.

YARN
Two skeins of Julie Asselin Fino (75% merino, 15% cashmere, 10% silk; 366 m / 400 yds per 115 g). Shown in colour Birch.

Or approximately 681 m / 745 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.

NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to obtain pattern gauge

Shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80-100 cm / 32-40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
