Sharswood is a wide scarf/narrow shawl worked end-to-end in garter stitch stripes. The classic edging is picked up and worked along the curved edge in a contrasting color.

The finished length is approximately 63” long and at the widest point, the width is approximately 10”.

Three colors of fingering weight yarn, about 200 yards each, will complete the scarf: the sample is shown in Knit Picks Palette in Almond, Cream and Sweet Potato.

The body is worked on size 4 (3.5mm) needles, and the edging is worked on a size 5 (3.75mm) 40” circular needle.

This is a good first lace project for the advanced beginner: a simple, classic lace pattern has you working k2tog and yo.
