This is a lacy, slightly textured shawl which is ideal for luxury yarns which have a shorter length. I have recommended two possible hook sizes, as if you are working with a shorter length yarn and your tension tends to be loose, I would suggest a 4.5MM hook to be on the safe side. Personally I used a 5mm and got on fine with a 365m skein of high twist but my tension is medium to tight at the moment. I would recommend having a play with the smaller hook and seeing if you are happy with the drape that gives you. You can always repeat the sequence of rows to extend the pattern if you have excess yarn to use up. One of the nicest things about this shawl is that it makes a little yarn go a long way!
