Welcome to the 2017 Christmas in July MKAL by Lattes and Llamas! This year we are making some crazy awesome color work mittens. This is an intermediate-advanced project. Clues will be released every Wednesday in July through Ravelry pattern updates (so once you’ve downloaded a clue, the pattern in your Rav library will be updated with the subsequent clues).

It’s easy to customize your mittens, but I recommend waiting until all 4 clues are released to do that. This pattern makes liberal use of beads, but if you hate beads (I’m trying to respect a bead hating life-style, but it’s hard for me since they are obviously the best thing ever ;) You might choose to skip the beads and work a 6th contrast color in duplicate stitch after your mitts are finished instead.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be mathematically perfect? With these you can wonder no more! the beading, paired with an inversion of the colors creates a secret image when you hold your 2 gloved hands together. I’ve always known you were perfect, it’s high time you had some mittens that advertise it. Have fun, and I can’t wait to see your projects!
