These pretty mittens are a study in nuance, featuring two pale shades of natural wool, a beautifully subtle striping sequence and a long, shaped cuff for perfect fit. The mittens are made fingerless with an optional flip-top that is held in place with a single button on top of the hand. For a plain mitt version, simply ignore the flip-top section of the pattern.

CONSTRUCTION

  • Mittens are worked in the round from the bottom up. Optional flip-top is picked up from just below the top ribbing of the hand and worked in the round.
  • Right and Left Mittens are mirror-images of one another with stripe and ribbing colors reversed. Certain sections of Left Mitten pattern will follow instructions for Right Mitten with all colors reversed.
