The shrug was knitted as one rectangle and then seamed to create the armholes, and finalized with a large round edge. These are great projects for beginners or any knitter looking for quick knitting gratification. It is such an easy technique, the knitting itself has no challenge but the result looks so sophisticated. The project that can be knit in any type of yarn, but color has to be natural and solid. Fancy colors would not be a good option.

The popcorn pattern gives the item a vertical result, and together with lace makes it terrific to use as a shrug in every season.
