This MKAL is a lace shawl and the difficulty is advanced beginner to intermediate. As always I will provide both charts and written explanation. You have the option to choose between 4 different yarn weights: lace, fingering, DK and worsted.

Sibylla is ancient Greek for Sibyl and derives from the word theobule (“divine counsel“). The sibyls were women that the ancient Greeks and, later, Romans believed were oracles and their prophecies were influenced by divine inspiration from a deity (for example the Delphic Sibylla was influenced by god Apollo).

Approximate yarn requirements and finished dimensions:

Lace weight: Needles: 3.5mm Yardage: 370 – 420 yards (340 - 385 meters) Finished Measurements: 25x51 inches (63x130 cm)
Fingering weight: Needles: 4mm Yardage: 450 – 500 yards (410 – 460 meters) Finished Measurements: 27x55 inches (68x140 cm)
DK weight: Needles: 4.5mm Yardage: 550 – 600 yards (500 - 550 meters) Finished Measurements: 32x64 inches (80x160 cm)
Worsted weight: Needles: 5.5mm Yardage: 850 – 900 (780 – 820 meters) Finished Measurements: 42x84 inches (100x200 cm)

It is easy to adjust the shawl in case you want a larger one and instructions will be provided along with the clues.
